How do I address the Key Selection Criteria?
- Read the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) very carefully so that you understand the key terms and requirements and can prepare responses that are highly relevant and descriptive. Please keep your responses concise, quality rather than quantity is important.
- When a KSC uses the term “demonstrate” you will need to give an actual example/s of how you have actually performed this activity or skill in your current or past role/s
- When a KSC uses the term “knowledge” it requires you to explain how you acquired this knowledge or learning such as formal study, training attendance or on-the-job experience. You will also need to show how you have applied this knowledge in your work and/or study experience

If I am invited to an interview, what should I expect and how can I prepare?
You will receive a phone call if you are being invited to attend an interview. At this time you will be provided with information regarding the time and location of the interview and who will be conducting the interview. Interview panels consist of a minimum of two TATURA employees, usually Managers. You will then receive a follow up email or letter confirming the details and also providing you with paperwork such as pre-employment checks that you need to complete and bring with you to your interview. It is important that you remember that an interview is your opportunity to promote your skills, knowledge and attributes. Therefore read the advertisement for the position carefully and your responses to the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) and provide descriptive examples outlining your skills, attributes, knowledge and experience relating to the role. Try to predict the questions that you may be asked in the interview, the questions will specifically relate to the KSC.
Why didn’t I get an interview?
All applications are reviewed and short-listed based on the Key Selection Criteria (KSC) of the role, experience and availability. If you are not invited for an interview it may be because the applicants who were successful had skills, experience and availability that were more closely aligned with the requirements of the role.

Those applicants who have been unsuccessful will also receive a follow-up letter informing them of the result of their application and interview. We acknowledge that not getting a job can be highly disappointing, however please do not let this deter you from applying for other positions at TATURA.
